2008 V8SCFC: Entries and Driver Changes
Team Entries & Changes: Once you’ve picked your driving line-up, give your team a name, announce some sponsors, racing numbers, liveries, grid girls/guys, mascots, overseas technical partners and any other stuff you can think of, and of course your manufacturer of choice, then post here giving a detailed description of the copious quantities of hide your team will kick in the forthcoming season. To make it easy for me, could you please condense the propaganda into this sort of form following your press release: Quote:
Driver Price List You can hire up to 4 drivers to drive your cars, provided that their combined salary comes in below the $2,000,000 Salary Cap. Here is how much they cost: $1,600,000 Rick Kelly Craig Lowndes Garth Tander Jamie Whincup $1,400,000 Steven Richards Mark Skaife Mark Winterbottom $1,200,000 James Courtney Will Davison Steve Johnson Todd Kelly $1,000,000 Lee Holdsworth Russell Ingall Greg Murphy Jason Richards $800,000 Jason Bargwanna Shane van Gisbergen Max WIlson $600,000 Jason Bright Fabian Coulthard Paul Dumbrell Cameron McConville Paul Morris Paul Radisich $400,000 Michael Caruso Alan Gurr Andrew Jones Shane Price Simon Wills $200,000 Marcus Marshall Andrew Thompson Tony d’Alberto Other Drivers If anyone not listed above drives in one of the non-enduro rounds, they will be valued at $200,000. Endurance Drivers Specialist enduro drivers will be available for Phillip Island and Bathurst, same as last year. They will be released about 3 weeks before Phillip Island. Hiring & Firing As Team Owner/Manager, you are permitted to sack any or all of your drivers in the lead-up to a round, and replace them - so long as you don’t blow the salary cap or 4-driver limit. To sack/hire someone, post in the Driver Changes thread expressing your disappointment in your ex-employee(s), and your hopes for your new driver(s). You will only be charged a driver change if your team is different at the next round, so there is scope to change your mind if need be. The deadline for making changes is the start of first practise. However, you can only do this twice during the season. Entries are open as of now, so start issuing those press releases! Your team can be altered without penalty until Adelaide first practise. Comments/suggestions/queries are more than welcome, either here or via PM. May the Fords be with you (or against you as the case may be), Antrodemus Canis Maximus, WOOFVESCO (World Organiser Of Fantasy Vee Eight Supercar Competitions) |

continuation of above.....
Brendon Engineering is pleased to announce it's entry into the V8 Central Fantasy League. Brendon Engineering has signed Kiwi Ace Greg Murphy, Cameron McConville and Micheal Caruso to drive the teams new VE Commodores. The new striking livery & logo unveiled today was designed by none other than DzignFX's V8 Supercar driver Simon Wills, also unveiled today was the drivers and teams suites and merchandise. Brendon Engineering re-signed all it's sponsers from 2007 and added a new one in Jack Daniel's. Team Owner/Principal Brendon had this to say at the launch today: "We are pleased to show you this stricking liverydesigned by Simon and we thank him very much for doing it for us, the cars have been at our workshop since December. Brendon Engineering team suites and merchandise came out great and we hope that the cars are as fast as the design. We are pleased to have signed Murph and rescue McConky from his former employer and it is always great to give a promising young gun ago in Micheal. it is great to have all the sponsers back on board and the addition of Jack Daniels is great, atleast we have a sponsers product to get drunk with after the many wins we have in 2008 (laughs). The team look forward to a strong year with great performances. Hope to see you all in adelaide, BRING IT ON". The teams Championship campaign gets underway at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide from the 21st-24th of Febuary. (applause from the many media and fans attending the launch) a picture taken of the car at the teams launch at their Sydney workshop today: Last edited by Pro Racer; 26 Jan 2008 at 10:49. |

JACOB RACING - OFFICIAL LIVERY LAUNCH
It was a crisp, cold day at the legendary Nordschleife, as the Jacob Racing teaam rolled out the fully liveried Carlton for the first time... 'The Mobil 1 Livery just looks amazing on this car' said nickyf1. The team evaluated a number of different cars, including the Audi S4 and the Vauxhall Monaro VXR after the VXR8 plan was shelved. |

ALL-AMERICAN RACERS SUBMITS ENTRY INTO 2008 V8 SUPERCAR FANTASY CHAMPIONSHIP!
AAR is glad to be back! After our best season in our short career last year, we are back, better than ever! The drivers that will be contesting for the championship for us this year will be Mark Winterbottom, and Paul Dumbrell. They will be driving the General's finest, the Commodore. We have built six chassis at our Mooresville, North Carolina raceshop, and they are ALL brand new. Chassis AAR01 will be piloted by Frosty, number 64, with Target sponsorship. Dumbrell will drive AAR02, number 0, with Sprint branding. We hope they will show everyone how it is done, and score us numerous podiums, and hopefully a few wins! At our testing facility, Daytona International Motor Speedway, we've found out that the car handles VERY well on their infield road course, and has a very high terminal speed around the oval track - about 310km/h. "The car is amazing!" Frosty said, "when I was running the combined oval/road course, I had to get used to the transitions from the banking to the road course. The car did it wonderfully, never getting out of shape on the transitions. I have a good feeling about this year." As ever, AAR will have our famous (or infamous, depending on your situation there) paddock parties. We used to only have them at the Enduro's, however, we will be having them at EVERY event this year! On Friday night of the race weekend, wander on over to the AAR area of the paddock, entry is free to everyone, and we WILL be having fun. Here's to a great 2008 season everyone! Quote:
-Matt Wood Team Principal - All-American Racers. PS - Thanks to Antrodemus for setting this up once again! PPS - Liveries will be released soon. |

SS Racing
Shane's Signs racing announce their 2008 championship entry. After spending a few years racing a Mazda rx7 in improved production the team has decided to step up into the big league. The main reason for the step up was that one of the mechanics was getting some $1.99 tins of degreaser at supercrap the other day and was going through the specials bin and found a Level 1 v8 supercar licence in there for $5. He thought it was a bit overpriced, but had just enough change in his pocket so here we are. NAME: Shane's Signs Racing DRIVERS: #53 Wil davison #54 Shane Price ( with that name he had to be in the team) #55 Andrew thompson MANUFACTURER: Ford Thanks to wormwood designs for the livery. We will be unveiling the teams work ute shortly as well. Launch pics to come shortly when the computer gets repaired. |

Kneejerk reaction from B.o.r.i.n.g...
After a very ordinary pre-season test at Winton, the team has decided to let Marcus Marshall go...
In his place is the promising young talent of Andrew Thompson. That is all folks. |
