My understanding is that members of the GBR team either flew out to New Zealand on Saturday or are flying out Monday evening (tonight). The car is already there.

It makes sense to use Kerr as he's raced there before and he was F3 testing before Christmas, so he should be not too rusty.

Whilst I was trying to find a story confirming that GBR would not be there, I came across this. All it does is confirm that Danny Watts will not be there, which we've known for ages.

I still think it's all a bit late. If I were the driver would prefer to have arrived at the weekend to get used to the time difference, but they're a lot fitter than I am, so maybe it doesn't matter so much.

There is no news confirming they either will or won't be - but they're usually slow confirming drivers so hopefully we'll hear something in the next few days.

As for Winslow, he was rookie there last year and was announced as reserve driver for this season, so I wouldn't be too surprised if he was picked. Plus he is rookie eligible too so he can have maximum time to learn the track.

I read that Dan Clarke will be driving for them... interesting choice. He is quick but erratic.

While that is definitely good news, the news earlier however true it might have been at the time, in my opinion, should have been worded better.

Thanks fot the clarification, cos. In those terms it makes sense. At least Winslow knows the circuit and the car (I think) so he should be able to set it up for Dan when he takes over.

Must be frustrating for Ben Clucas having to watch all these drivers which he has consistently beaten over the years get drives in A1 and yet is consistently overlooked. (ie Oliver Jarvis, Dan Clarke and James Winslow). They should at least give him a run!

Yes, it is Dan Clarke. Confirmed in his own words on Facebook.

He's flying from the States, so maybe the time difference won't be so great.

It's funny how whenever Dan Clarke's name is mentioned people say something like that!

Unfortunately there is some truth in the comment.

I see James Winslow is to be the rookie driver, but you would think that when someone like Dan comes into the Series, without any experience of the team, car or circuit, that he should be given a dispensation to run in the rookie sessions as well.

By the way, I am quite interested again now.
