Yasukawa Lands Third D&R Seat for Indy
It has been announced this morning. Roger Yasukawa will drive the third Dreyer & Reinbold car at Indy...The car does have sponsorship from a residential home developer here.
That makes 32, with Beck, Panther, Cabbie, Hemelgarn and maybe a lease for third car from Foyt to possibly run. |

They will run Roger in one of their "T" cars....
BTW...This is the first time that D&R will run 3 cars at Indy. He will be sponsored by Wellman-Corbier Custom Homes |

the same car that Jon Herb was booted out of for not having enough speed! although Herb was a co-owner of PDR himself back then so i guess it was an all round kind of decision |

How much sense is there in entering this contest as late as before the 3rd day of qualifying, when the first 22 grid spots are already taken?

lots of sense! you can win from any position just about, Wheldon took the victory from 16th in 05 i believe plus, for the cost of the 2nd week programme, if you make it into the race, your gonna take some decent prize money away |

In reality, the race was being scored when the green flag fell, and he was still back near the 4th turn when the flag flew and the front row began the race...He drove more than 500 miles compated to Al Unser, Jr., who started in the 4th row, IIRC... |

ditto stradlin, asking Robin Miller about Indy is like asking Bin laden an unbiased opinion about GW Bush

Any reason why you are so conclusive he is wrong on this matter, or is this your own bias coming into play not Robins ?

The prize money has not kept pace with the cost of competing. Everyone knows that. These days you'd be better off trying to run a clunker in nascar and qualifying at the back of the grid.

Yasukawa is over 219 mph today in practice, and it is a beautiful day here in Indy... |
