With the championship closed, and still one race to go, wich is not any more important who will win, one question comes to mind... RB did his debut on the 1st place this year, and most of the drivers on the grid (and the ones to come in) did not win a race yet, who's gonna be the next one to win his 1st race ?

Your votes please...

JV or Ralf.

Button would have half a chance if he stays put at Williams...

Why not PdlR? BTW, I'm wondering if the ATM engine is the right choice?

Which JV? Surely not Jacques Villeneuve because he has already won races.

I think it could be Ralf or Montoya and maybe Button.

I think Arrows made the right choice about the ATM engine.
It was either that one or a Supertec which won't be developed any further now that Renault has returned.

My vote's for Ralf, maybe Montoya. But I predict that Williams will return to their winning ways soon.

Gerard,
You re right...how could I have forgotten the 97 champion!
JV and Ralf will be the best of winning outside the ferrari and McLaren.

Ralf

RALF. I have a feeling that Benneton will not be that good next year, and even if they do, I think that the best Bunsen will do is to get on the podium in third place. For Benneton to win, the Ferraris, McLarens, Williams, and one of hte Jordans will have to blow up. That's a helluva tall order.

There's one race left and the WC is over, so maybe there's a chance of a BMW win for Ralf. You can almost see it, Ralf has a great start and propels himself to third. The rains starts to patter and he gets a run by Mika and passes him and runs off into the distance to catch Michael, who sees him coming, and doesn't push as hard as he can, and Ralf gets by to take his first win. Well, here's hoping! Please let it be Ralf!

Montoya next year. First win for williams.
A few races later Ralf does the same.
Then the Renault proyect starts taking shape and Fisi wins and a couple of races later Button.

That would be mean Sharky. Ralf worked so hard for Jordan, promised Eddie he'd win their first race for them, and what does Eddie do? Tells Ralf he's got to sit behind Damon's ailing Jordan and hope that Jean doesn't overtake hiim for second. After all the work he did to help the team, bring in the first points of both seasons, a race that he could've won is denied him by somone who joined that season having decided not to join Jordan but Arrows the year before. He can't have the same thing happen to him at Williams, bringing home all the points in '99, most of the points in '00 to have Montoya take the race from him. Let Ralf win!

Dhru, what the *** are you talking about. Damon led Ralf at Spa in 98, Alesi was more than six seconds behind at the finish and no real danger. What was Eddie Jordan supposed to do? Tell Ralf to race Damon for the win and maybe take them both out of the race like he did to Fisi when they were team-mates? Doh! Of course EJ wanted to play it safe when the Jordan team was heading for a maiden win, and even a 1-2 finish. Something else would have been ridiculous!

As for the subject - I predict Montoya to be the first new guy to win a race, at least once during next season. If the Williams keeps improving (like I think it will) I wouldn't be surprised if Ralf won either. Regarding Button and Fisi I think podium finishes could come their way next year, but not wins. I think Williams will be stronger.

I think all depends on starting positions...
If Montoya (next year) gets better positions or "Poles", he'll be the next WIlliams-BMW "star". Anything else..., leads Ralf to be the "lead guitar" on team !

Just a hope.

Trulli will get the next win. If Button will let him finish a race!

Ralf or Button, more likely Ralf because he will have a better car.

If the Williams is good next year (ie where McLaren was this year), Montoya may get one too.
