ALMS 2013 Round 3: Laguna Seca
The ALMS returns to action with 4 hours at Laguna Seca on 11 May. The entry list looks similar to previous rounds, but also features the return of the DeltaWing. We will see if the engine has found some reliability and pace since Sebring. GT will be fantastic especially if the Vipers can maintain their performance from Long Beach. On track action begins on Thursday 9 May with a test session in the evening. Qualifying is on Friday 10 May beginning at 16:35 local track time (Pacific time zone), and the 4 hour race kicks off at 15:30 on Saturday the 11th.

CORE Porsche not on the entry at this time, but it has been suggested to me that it will likely show up.

It's a shame it's only going to be 4 hours this year.

For variety's sake I quite like the four hour format - probably helped by it being that length in mid 2000s when I started watching it properly.
It's also a little easier to watch that timeframe on the west coast from Europe - or is that me being way too selfish? |

There is that. The one I'm REALLY mad about is 2:45 at Road America!

The entry list looks like the Long Beach list, with slight revisions. On the other hand, there's been nothing on CORE's website about the Porsche since January. Hopefully the Long Beach Broadcast was right...

I stand corrected. Watching last year's 6 hours at Laguna Seca on ALMS TV now
I am curious about the Roush Ford V6 Turbo engine that ran last years Laguna race, in an older P2 chassis, (Radical?). With Ford pushing their EcoBoost branding seems to me they are missing a marketing opportunity by not lending engine support to a P2 entry ... oops! my P2 bias is showing! Correct. It's been six hours the past three seasons (2010-2012).

Download them while you can, because once NASCAR gets a hold of them, I bet they will be gone.

Anyone know if there will be FM radio broadcast of the commentary at the track? Radio Le Mans or otherwise?

For the Long Beach race there was a live radio feed on the ALMS website in addition to live timing & scoring. I assume it was the audio feed for the TV coverage since it was Jeremy Shaw, Greg Creamer and the pit reporters.
