Weight penalties for RWD?
Hi, Will Lexus have to have more weight (Like BMW/Audi) at all?

I don't think there are weight penalties for RWD (there never should have been in the first place w/BMW!) under the new rules and regs.
In any case, ABG are already climbing a steep learning curve so i can't see BMP slapping a weight penalty on the IS200's. |

..not unless it turns out to be a huge advantage, which isn't too likely-
Good to see them get thier first finish yesterday- hopefully it won't be too long before they're mixing it with the Peugeots & Vauxhalls (hopefully it won't be too long before Peugeot are mixing it with the Vauxhalls...) |

If for example we get to a stage when Luby and Erdos are finishing 1st and 2nd or at least on the podium most of the time then maybe BMP might start thinking about weight penalties. ABG still have plenty to sort out with the car a I'd say for there first race weekend done very well.

Like i said before i think the Astra's will have won the championship before the Pug's, JSM and ABG arwe truly competitive with them. But later this year i expect Luby and Erdos to fly!

Surely rear-wheel-drive IS a big advantage?
From what's been written in the past, RWD gives vastly superior traction, so exiting slow corners and standing starts will be easier. Didn't Kurt Luby's Lexus beat the two Alfas off the line in the Thruxton Sprint race? See, although ABG/Lexus are not exactly threatening Vauxhall, they might just have what could be described as an 'unfair advantage' over, say, JSM/Alfa. I wonder if four-wheel-drive is allowed...? ;-) |
