Praha - Pardubice - Czech Grand prix
The Czech Republic is a new European country, they make Skodas and have a succesful sports car driver, Thomas Enge, so why not have a grand prix?
The Praha - Pardubice Circuit pardubice is a two hours drive east of prague, near other towns called Hradec Kralove and Kutna Hora, it is a place where you can get 2 beers, 2 colas and some of the worlds nicest pizzas for just under £7 and a place where you can go to Tesco or macDonalds. But not anymore, you can come to this state of the art nickyf1's-answer-to-tilke's-really-boring-tracks! The track runs clockwise and is around the same legnth as The Istanbul Circuit, there is an optional banked curve for those non F1 races and the facilities are brilliant. The Corner names explained Yedna - Czech for 1 Dva - Czech for 2 Skoda - czech car Manufacturer Praha - i'm sure you can guess Starapramen - Czech beer or Pivo as known localy Hradec kralove - Local Town Enge - Czech racing driver Kutna Hora - Local Town Ruzyne - Prahas Airport kbely - Local airport Vysoke Myto - Local town |

If there was a load of elevation change then I can see that being a very good circuit, though I'd open up some of the corners a bit more.

If in a Spa type of setting with that sort of evelvation change then it would be a great circuit.
That banked curve must be very long, to get all that into the diameter and not have it pinch into the pit and paddock. It might need to be opened up a bit into a long banked turn rather than a semi circle. |

The shape of the underlying blot that makes up this track is incredibly beautiful.
The length ofthe pitlane should give a length estimation of somewhat around the usual GP track length of around 4 or 5 kilometers. Regarding this length, there are a bit too many slow sections around this track to make it flow nicely, which is pretty unfortunate for such a pretty design. Turning the Praha corner into a wide left-hand sweeper might help, even though it would take away from the original blot shape. Another possibility would be to enlarge it to around 7 to 8 kilometers, for which shortening the pitlane in the design would be necessary. I'd love to know more about the elevation changes on this track and what the blot was that influenced this design. Thanks for the additional info. |

There is elevation, I will make a height graph.
And nothing influenced my design, I went onto the computer wanting a modern, fast track, I zoomed in when I was drawing corners and zoomed out to see how good it looked after I had finneshed every corner. |

Hmmm.... Interesting. very tight corners, apart from the banking.
I like it, it seems.... challenging |

Well, the pitlane entrance is a funny thing to object to, but I guess moving it back to the exit of the previous corner would make it slightly better....
I do think the rest of the circuit would be pretty good; for endurance racing perhaps? (don't know why that in particular came to mind) |
