Lifts needed - guidelines
Following discussion in the main thread, and based on suggestions made, 10-tenths are happy to offer use of the forum for marshals wishing to arrange car sharing, lifts or short notice passes.
Firstly, the legal bit:
In other words, use the threads for your convenience, but any arrangements are strictly at your own risk. You should also read the Privacy Policy part of the site FAQ. Where a 'marshals needed' thread exists for an event, please use that thread for making arrangements, but please remember that you should be very, very careful of personal information posted. We strongly recommend not posting telephone numbers, e-mail addresses or details that will indicate to anyone reading that your house will be unattended for several days. Other than that, good luck, and we hope this facility will be useful. Chris Last edited by Woolley; 28 Jan 2008 at 13:44. |

Just doing a little refresh on this.
Hi folks, Just a little reminder to please be careful regarding your privacy and safety when using Ten-Tenths. This particularly extends to caution when responding to anyone seeking your personal details or arranging to meet someone from the internet that you have not met before. There is a very good article here that gives tips on how to meet online friends offline in a safe manner. Tenths is a lovely community and everyone who posts here contributes to that. But common sense dictates that you should apply standard personal safety rules. Anyone who is genuine will have no problem with you being sensible about your safety - and will hopefully be just as sensible themselves. |
