Schumi cam
How good is that new shot from inside TGF's cockpit.
IMO it is excellent. The incar shots were all good today though a full lap would have been nice. |

It's great because now you know what it means when commentators say "Michael makes it look easy"

At last we have seen some decent coverige with lots of on-board stuff, nose camera etc. A great race also.

It was great to see so many different in-car shots, something we on free-to-air
have sorely missed over the past couple of years. |

I thought it was a waste of a good camera!
What was the point? You could see his head, OK, what else? Could you see any racing? No! Just a head! Typical channel 10 show the drivers feet and miss the crashes! |

I would like to recommend that shots that focus on the drivers be put on a small-TV view at the top corner of the screen, while the main huge screen show heli-shot, track-side, or on-car shots of the race.. and add information such as estimated fuel, speed down the main straight ala last year's Indianapolis.

It's amazing how such a small camera can take pics of such a large helmut.

Some good camera views today, nice to see. There is still room for improvement, but it was positive
Loved the view looking back at DC's helmet. |

wonder why they don't show us the view from the cam inside the driver's helmet?

I don't like the cam camera in CART. It has novelty value, but the best camera for showing you acton and what is going on is the one above the driver's head.
You can see his hand movements, the front wheels and the track. And there weren't enough in car shots. Not enough cars had them and they weren't used enough (and mostly at the wrong time over the weekend). Last edited by Adam43; 9 Mar 2003 at 16:52. |

Where we're gonna see that RC helicopter camera, that looked quite nice.

I reckon the one inside Schumacher's cockpit was a great camera. I don't think any other camera better illustrates a driver at work.

I thought the one on the back of Kimi's car was good. I liked the one looking back at Coulthard, you could really see the concentration in his eyes.

We normally get nice static in-car shots showing the smoothness when in reality that is not the case for the driver. I like it. |

I thought Kimi's in-car was great, it looked like he was right on a knife's edge. A couple of times I thought he would lose it. Brilliant Stuff. As Mika used to say, Maximum Attack!!!

I like those in-car cams too. I would like that the directors choose some funny moments like, say, a driver making gestures to another and things like that...
