It may sound negative but is Macau really a BMW track? Or does BMW seem to always just field more cars than everyone else? They kinda overwhelm all the other makes? Having more number of cars increases your chances of winning?

But in SP age Carly have beated work team+driver Alfa 147,JAS Civic and Vic Lee 307.....
It's a shame Carly (with support of Watson's Water) will not race at Macau. I think they are the most succesful team of the last 5 or 10 years (correct me if I am wrong).

BTW I have made a Macau topic.

That's why I expect it will be live this time. MotoGP is also live if it's in the early morning or in the evening.

On Monday, JAS Motorsport remained in Valencia to give Simon Harrison, who will join Adriano De Micheli in Macau, the chance to get familiar with the Honda Accord and the team. The Briton completed 30 laps around the Spanish track, with impressive times; he was clocked in 1:43.9 with very used tyres, equivalent to a potential 1:42:5 with new tyres, which would have been good for a top-five position on the starting grid.

"I am very much pleased with the car," Harrison commented. "This is the first time I drive a competitive Super 2000, and one of the few drives this year at all, as I have only done some races in the Asian Porsche Cup. The Accord is very sensitive to set-up changes, and very effective in any part of the circuit. I do look forward to a highly competitive race in Macau."

I've never seen the Macau track before. I know its a street circuit, and that means its possibly tight. As long as it produces a good finale, I don't mind.

Is the track in China?

You're in for a treat, as Macau is, IMHO, one of the best street-circuits in the world

Check [this link] for a map of the 6.2km track.

The track is on the island Macau, which is a former Portugese colony but now part of China.

I see. I've never heard of that island. I only knew the name as a racetrack. I'll be looking forward to watching it.

meanwhile they should be approved by ATCC
they may be a shame for ATCC that not allow protons on the gird while it is FIA sactioned.....
so i am interested on it too, let's find the answer on monday
(MG's story on ETCcup would give us some hints too)
From www.fiawtcc.com:
Quote:
Franz Engstler, who is comfortably leading the Asian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), will take part in the FIA WTCC final meeting in Macau. The first of the two races on the Guia track will also count as the ATCC final round.
At the wheel of an Engstler Motorsport BMW 320i, the 41 year old German has claimed 8 victories out of the 10 ATCC rounds held so far, which gave him a solid 55-point lead ahead of Malaysian driver Farique Hairuman, with 60 still to be awarded. ATCC last-but-one meeting will take place in Zhuhai, China, on October 23.
So Farique Hairuman (Proton) and others aren't allowed to start at Macau because their cars aren't S2000 or not FIA homologated. Isn't this strange? Organizing a championship and not allow some entrants to take part in one round. It's especially sour for Hairuman because he's still in the race for the championship.
