Ok, so I just saw it mentioned on another forum that someone had seen it on Today...and then other said they watched Today and didn't see it.

My reply was that they probably should have been watching Sunrise...on channel 7, considering that 7 are the broadcasting network...

So was it really on channel 9...or are there just some confused folk around? And if it was on 9, what the?

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Just watched the launch on my mobile and the car looks like the Audi DTM Vodafone car from a couple of years ago.The launch was at the Sydney Opera House and it looked liked they a heap of beach sand on the ground with palm trees in the background. A fair few peolpe there to watch the launch, but I herd no comments from the drivers.

Car from what I can make out would be about a 7/10 Colours are silver & red and same with the drivers overalls.

Been done before, at the Opera House... PWR did it in 2005...

So will the TeamVodafone #88 and #888 Falcons drop out of the races unexpectedly just like their sponsor's mobile network?

I think the cars look pretty good.
The driving suits are not what one would call inspirational though....

Suprisingly, there seems to be no Sony Ericsson signiage on the cars or the suits despite them being touted as a major partner.

Yeah , looks good to me

Gonna be funny for a mate of mine who runs a telstra shop and is a massive Lowndes / Triple 8 fan .

He'll be walking around all race day in his race shirt sponsoring the opposition

The silver is very nice, almost Chrome like, but geeze that Britek fluro red and the vodafone logos plastered everywhere? I think it's somewhat hideous.

It's like a Fujitsu series livery... For Triple Eight racing where is the slick artwork?

It potentially could have been very nice with that nice silver paint and some regular red paint and a slick design, but I don't think it's very good.... they will get confused with Brighty?

The only real difference I can see from the BA and the BF is that the BF has similar side skirts that the VY and VZ Commodores use. Livery looks alright too.

I don't think so Peter. Dominos were told thanks but no thanks, it has Caltex on the headlights, dexion on the rear end plates and windscreen. The only other 2 I can't see are Toshiba and Sony Ericsson, so whether they are added somehow later I don't know. For $7m you'd want the car to yourself though, wouldn't you?!!

DayGlo and the chrome silver effect. i love it!!

I do have to point out a few similarities between the livery and the one i made up a few months back when the deal was announced.

see the second car in post 2 of this thread:
http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91043

the way the red circles round the vodafone logo to devite the red(dayglo) and silver, as well as the bottom of the front bar, black numbers, some of the similarities ar uncanny!

(no wonder i like it so much!)

Good job 888!
