Crash and Burn should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
F1 Little Stories

* BMW-WILLIAMS have explained that Juan-Pablo Montoya's Monaco Grand prix came to an end because of a faulty fuel pump that caused the engine to misfire and then fail.

* F1 TEAM bosses will meet away from the prying eyes of the world's motorsport press gathered in Montreal when they meet up in London next Thursday. They will discuss proposals from the FIA to share components, limit testing and cut costs.

* RENAULT have added their voice to the engine builders who don't want Max Mosley's engine manufacturer's championship in 2003. Renault sport boss Patrick Faure says they have enough work to make their radical, new, wide-angle engine reliable to think about supplying another team. Renault line up alongside BMW, Mercedes and Toyota in opposing the move.

* FERRARI are already the most successful constructor in the Canadian Grand Prix, but they can claim their 150th GP win of all time if Michael or Rubens wins on Sunday. Should Juan-Pablo Montoya or Ralf Schumacher win for BMW-Williams, it will mark the 20th anniversay of BMW's first ever grand prix victory with Nelson Piquet's Brabham in 1982.

* JAGUAR will use the latest evolution of their Cosworth engine in the first practice sessions in Canada. If successful it will also be used in qualifying.

* ORANGE ARROWS Technical Director Mike Coughlan may not be present in Canada, while he considers his future. It's believed that Coughlan has had an offer to join the Mclaren team under Adrian Newey.

I dont understand why anyone would oppose sharing their motors. It wont be mandatory. Oh but wait arnt these the teams that only supply one car anyway? This is just poilics. They see a possibility of losing to Ford, Ferrari, Honda so its all of a sudden a problem. I like the idea. Engine manufacturers dont get enough credit anyway.
