If it's maps of tracks' layouts you're looking for, you can find them at http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/tracks.html.

My grandfather once hit a tree with a vintage Bentley.
The Bentley won. I'm guessing that you're looking for pictures of the old Hockenheim woods before the track was modified, Miss Hardt. I'm not sure I've got anything, but I'll keep looking. |

I was looking at that link and had a look at the old Interlagos, it appears that they had an Oval race track formed by cutting the infield out and I think that would be pretty cool to see cars racing on it if it still existed.

Hello, Oversteer (the man I love to disagree with - but not this time!),
Yes, the "old" (should I call it "true" instead?) Interlagos did have a high-speed outer ring (I think the word oval is not appropriate in this case). I saw many races run in the outer ring there, from 1980 through 1989. It was a crazy track, with daunting elevation changes. The run-off area at Curva 3 was minimal even to someone walking the track... Curvas 1 and 2 were not much better either. Very dangerous, but terminally exciting. Thanks to F-1 greed (see my many other postings on this concern...) racing the outer ring is as impossible as in the complete, 8-km long track. By the way, the map you posted has some errors: - Curva 4 and Junção are swapped over. Junção (literally "Junction") is the one that reconnects the road course to the outer ring; - the righthander after Curva do Sargento was called "Curva do Laranja", named after a local driver (and not "Curva da Laranja", as many people spell); - the following, tight righthander was called "Curva do S"; - the "Pinheirinho" (spelling is incorrect in the map) is the next lefthander. "Pinheirinho" means "Small Pine Tree", as in the late 1950s a tree was planted right at its inner area (as most nice things in Interlagos, the tree is also gone...); - the tight lefthander (slowest turn), identified as "Cotovelo" ("Elbow") is actually called "Bico do Pato" (Duck's beak). The spelling "Bico de Pato", commonly found in foreign publications, is incorrect. - the proper spelling for the name of the turn at the core of the infield is "Ferradura" ("Horseshoe"), and not "Ferra Dura".
