Driver of the day- FIA GT Bucahrest...
Who's been best this afternoon?
I'd say Wendlinger, or more like Mr Bas Leinders- awesome drive! |

he drove well .. but .. the move he did on #8 car was a bit too close to do to a team mate ..
Leinders was on fire on the little Vertigo .. passing the BMS Aston Martins(man they're slow at times) early in the race .. and battling with the Corvettes |

Don't forget GT2
I was the fastest car on track in my second stint, faster then all GT1's and GT2's... Until I hit the wall Collard also drove very well in the early stages. |

Personally I think all the drivers deserve to be driver of the day!!! The circuit was perhaps the most challenging circuit for GT3 drivers to face, and then add tricky conditions to boot!! Hats off to all the guys that were out there, both those that finished and those that didn't. It struck me as a circuit that requires more driver control and ability than most just to keep it out of the wall, congrats to all.
But if I had to pick, well then my choice would be #31 Team Berlanga Ascari, both driver's share the prize, Erik was awesome and very controlled in the tricky first stint (race 2) and then Rory took over and drove a great race, considering it's his first time in the car a great result, and very unlucky not to remain second, but rules are rules I guess!! Ascari's had a torrid weekend though. footnote: Well done to the GT40, an impressive victory. |

[QUOTE=Dani Filth]he used his team mate to remove his side rear view mirror
Thanks ..... i just saw footage of the incident on utube ..... maybe a little naughty but taking the weather into consideration , maybe understandable too , as a lot of drivers had accidents too ? |

I love that the Ford GT guys won the race - absolutely loved that car at Silverstone. Big thumbs up to the Vertigo guys too...

Well, you may call it understandable, a lot of others call it the typical DTM-driving style that Mucke is using to make himself more impopular by the race.
I'd say the Vertigo-boys. Their performance in that little car was just plain impressive, kudo's to them. |

i saw the footage on utube , and it looked like to me that the car got away from him . A pure racing accident and especially so in the weather they were expected to race in . If folks want "no" accidents , I suggest going to the local railway and watching things moving on train tracks .
Everybody applauds close racing , and the odd accident unfortunatly goes along with that . Ive got no worries with that at all . |
