Well the its a bit harsh to critsise them on todays effort - the swiss car did make quite a daring move from a LONG way back, and clipped the rear wheel of the IRL car (so he didnt get a long way up the inside, a bit of a dubious move - the result meant Ireland were out, switzerland kept going - not really Lyons' fault in my opinion. They were on for their best result of the season, and a healthy points gain, but hrough no fault of their own lost it.
They have been struggling, but i think today shows 2 things: 1. There is promise now for the remainder of the season (more top 10's i predict) 2. Had things gone slightly the other way, Ireland would be looking far better this afternoon - i dont think that today's situations effects how the team looks in may book - it wasnt their fault for this DNF. |

It was an opportunistic move down the inside....... Lyons could not have seen that coming.

I liked Richard Lyons' ...err...candidness shall we call it, on live global TV after the accident. "Sebastian Bummer the d&%head!"
Reminds me of a certain Mr. Irvine. |

Good to see Anderson is bringing the team forward but all the work amounts to **** all if the muppet behind the wheel can't get it off the line...hehehe

Nice to see the boys back on it ! You can't blame RL for the start line problem it probably was a problem with the car. Anyway it looks good for the remainder of the season. Would like to see Devany get another shot now the car is on the pace.

Good to see the progress is being made.
Richard drove a very good race in the sprint and although he went out of the feature he was making up places with real guts. I think he and the team done an excellent job yesterday, lets hope they keep moving up for the remainder of the season! |
