MSV photography competition
MSV is running a competition to win trackside photography access to an MSVR event next season.
There's a story about the comp on the MSV website, all you have to do is send in one photo and a winner will be chosen by professional photographer Jakob Ebrey. There will also be a finalists gallery on the MSV site next month. http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/ne...sp?NewsID=5179 |

I was going to enter, but then realised all my pics were rubbish cos of all those nice fences MSV keep putting up!!
Seriously, although this sort of comp has to be commended, to me at least it seems a bit of an oddity. The one thing that is becoming increasingly hard to do at UK circuits (Brands in particular just lately) is for a spectator to take a half-decent image/photo. Similarly, circuit owners seem to be putting a huge investment into structures to keep spectators "safe" yet seemingly very little into enhancing the spectating experience. Over the years, I have seen spectator fencing appear, spectator fencing then getting bigger, and higher, run-off areas increasing, spectator viewing areas diminishing, etc etc. I`m not going to try to argue that these "safety" measures are not needed cos I will inevitably be totally ridiculed and torn to pieces for it. However, a LOT more could be done to try to enhance the viewing/photography experience of visitors to UK circuits. PS - I`m sure those nice guys and girls at MSV would be able to lay on a money-can`t-buy under 18s prize as well. |

How come the guy's banned already? Professional Jealousy, Mike? Seeing as it's an Ebrey comp?

Nothing to do with me. I'll probably be showing the winner the ropes...

Well, I couldn't tell from here, could I? I assumed it was to do with the soccer team, seeing as 2 of my kids chose them.
