Goodwood Festival of Speed
Did anyone see the Goodwood Festival of Speed programme this afternoon on ITV1 after the British Touring Car Highlights show?
For those who didn't there was one car that just stood out from the rest. No not the 1967 Honda RA300, the classic Porsche 908, the current Toyota TF102 F1 car or the Williams FW24. Yes the car I'm talking about is ...... the Renault espace F1, a normal Renault Espace people carrier type car but with a Renault V10 engine inside it I haven't laughed so much in ages just seeing this normal everyday family car going flat out at 150 + mph up the famous Goodwood hill !!!! That car was at Silverstone back in 1995 as a support show for the grand prix . It had Eric Bernard driving it if i remember right . It was about 20 seconds a lap slower than the f1 car.
I have taped the programme , so will look forward to watching it on video later on. |
