It's on the National circuit so it should be good...loads of Caterhams. Nothing wrong in that!

* This year it will be a particularly fetching red and green.

Motorsportgirli should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I can say imho the first time i marshalled at silverstone i was made to feel very uncomfortable and made to feel like "this is our territory do as i say"

The only reason the weekend was not a complete nightmare was that 3 people i knew from cadwell were there and as we werent orange and black we were put together.

I only ever return to Silverstone for the GP or if my race team need me there, but i can honestly say i will never be seen on the banks there again for any other meetings

They dont use Observers o they. !!
Every I/O in black tends to look down on us and treat us with contempt, dont know why.
But no thanks.

I'm an observer, and have been for many years, and observe at Silverstone regularly. As for the ''them and us'' ..... let's not open that can of worms AGAIN!!!

I have tickets for this meeting...wasn't aware it was mainly Caterhams though,as I've already overdosed on them from the last meeting at Combe
Put down for this as I was staying over for the AMOC on the Sunday too
Always found the Silverstone gang very friendly,(ex-BOB myself btw )

That is my point, on most occasions that i have marshalled there always made to feel uncomfortable or inferior to those in Black/Orange.
F3/GT meet an I/O totally ignored me and a friend even to the point he treated us like trainee’s
Once at a GP the whole team worked with there I/O and ignored any thing i said including the brief i gave. Made me feel like going home.
Britcar meet was actually told to P**s Off by one member of the Team.
So all in all Silverstone guys don’t help there own reputation.
I have come across some who are very civilised.

Look,I am only asking for volunteers to help me in pits and start and assist the club of which I am a member namely the BARC to run an efficient and effective race meeting, so pack it in.
When I have been to circuits that I do not normally attend, the last being Oulton Park and Snetterton the reception was mixed but you just get on with it.
So back on topic;
"See marshals needed (insert any colour overalls with a marshal inside them welcome ),good clubbie day."

was originally down for this one but have had to cancel.
If you want a change from the bank i would highly recommend a day in pits/startline,
I have done it and thanks to Nick and Others thoroughly enjoyed it, busy all the time but fun too.

Right. Can we please stop this black and orange arguement immediatly, it's been done to death over the years and only serves to cause friction. We are ALL marshals whatever colour overals we wear, black, orange or white so cut it out NOW.

Any more inflammatory posts will end with the poster getting warning points ok!

You saying we can wear any colour we want!
Shame I'm spoken for as I'd have liked to have tried out Silverstones pits/startline to add to my multi-purpose ability!
