Yesterday it was announced that Valvoline sponsorship would no longer grace the doors and hood of the Mark Martin #6 Ford Taurus as the primary sposor after this season. Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, specifically their Viagra brand name, will be the primary sponsor of the team. This brings about the question, just what does it costs to sponsor a top line team? According Pfizer the deal is worth US$60 million over 5 years.

From what I have heard, it takes about $5-6 million to run a full-time WC operation. However, if you want to be compete for the Winston Cup, most of the top team are spending $10 million or more. Obviously, each year it takes more and more.
