Ricciardo. Max V wanted to be heroic but failed. Its shown who's #1 in RBR now. But didn't expect that would happen so fast.

Yes, who would have thought that Ricciardo would have the edge after two races when Max got parachuted in like that, and the new engine wouldn't have made a huge difference either would it.

I went for Alonso but Ricciardo drove very well. And everything went right with Hamilton. Perez drove very well again.

Sympathic vote for Hulkenberg. Lost his race with the traffic after first stint. Perez lucky as usual. Can't imagine what he thinks when his teammate has 3 podiums, and he still got none despite being on par.

My deepest sympathy vote goes to...Kimi. I'm so sorry for your loss (of your front wing).

Hamilton for me. He drove equally well in the race as Ricciardo, but got the win, even though he had it handed to him, he decimated his team mate, made a bold strategy work while holding off a great racer and took a relatively unexpected win.
Good effort. |

Ricciardo, but could have voted for any of the three on the podium, who all drive brilliantly. Hamilton almost lapped his teammate for goodness sake.

Lewis went for the brave strategy option, but Daniel's pitstop snafu handed the win to Lewis......
I'll give it to Perez for a spritied performance under difficult conditions..... |

Yeah I'll give it to Perez as well. Mercedes should be out front, RB is clearly very fast Monaco. Force India though, had no business being up there in third place only 13sec behind a Mercedes, with no SC's! The VSC I think even disadvantaged Perez and lost him time. Even Vettel who's normally very strong at Monaco couldn't catch up to him.

Perez.
He had the 4th best car (at best), yet managed to finish 3rd (instead of 7th or 8th) Was about as fast as the leading duo while he was on the hardest set of tires. Vettel never got close enough to even think about attacking him. Impressive how he regularly was the fastest man on track. What more could we have expected from him? Sympathy to Daniel. He was robbed (again) and should have won this one. |

Alonso for me but a few other good drives out there as well. LH and Perez came close for me but Alonso for the 50th anniversary.

Grinning Dan, even if he wasn't doing much grinning after the race.
He got the pole, and managed to do it while saving an extra set of ultras for the race. Not that that did him any good in the end. But he really had the pace in the race too. In the first phase when they were on full wets, it's hard to judge him because Hamilton was hobbled by being stuck behind Rosberg. But later in the race he was quicker than Hamilton, and I just don't know where he found the time during the last pit-stops: if it hadn't been for the Ferrari-esque antics in the box he would have come out miles ahead. Respect also to Hamilton (well, he won!) and Perez ( who quietly worked his way onto the podium. Also to Hulkenberg for keeping the fire lit right to the end, unlike Rosberg who must have fallen asleep. (How do you let someone past in that short squirt from the last corner to the line?) |
