Love how F4 is worth 2 and a half times as many points as a state FFord round, subtle CAMS, subtle

What need is the Super License actually addressing in Australian motorsport?

It will stop a few drivers from buying their way into catagories, which place them significantly out of their depth.

And when there are REC's out there being kept afloat through drivers being $$$, would this new rule not potentially put some of these in jeopardy in future years if the pool of drivers bringing dollars is less? |

For sure.
It may have it's place, but it will come at a cost to teams and drivers alike. |

So are the points in the CAMS table for placing in a series or for individual races?
It is not clear from their press blurbs. |

"I am lead to believe that the points are carried over from the result in, each category's, final championship standings. Points will backdate to 2012." Not very definite..... |

So if you win the VASC you get 13 points according to the CAMS table.
That qualifies you to get a Supercar licence. BUT, hang on, you need a Supercar licence to compete in the VASC. so what is the point of the points for the VASC results... I'm confused |

I wonder if the bods who came up with this fantastic idea have realised that the pool of potential co-drivers just got very small.
Potentially its to keep any former champion eligible for a period after they retire with the #1 on their door. |

It would be interesting to know what drivers who competed in Supercars in the last few years(or at least post Thexton)would have been prevented from doing so by the new licencing requirements.
I am pretty sure this is just a CAMS cash grab. |
