O'Schumacher should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Daytona 500

A qualifying session , a bumping session, and then 2 125 mile races to decide the grid! What is wrong with a simple qualifying session?

Well done NASCAR. You've successfully confused me more than an A Level maths exam.

p.s. Greg Biffle just has one of the best names. It never fails to make me laugh, like Dick Trickle used to

The formula pretty much follows the system these guys were used to on the short tracks they raced at in thier local towns before they made it to Winston Cup. Qualifying, heat races, last chance races, all before the main feature.

If you think Dick's name is funny, you should have seen everyone laugh when the track announcer at the Milwaukee Mile would same his name...starting 4th, Trickle Dick.

He was a crowd fav though...always had a pack of smokes taped to his roll cage & you would see him light up every once in a while...especially if he was blowing away the field. He was nuts too...during a rain delay, they would be out there drying the track and he would be out there weaving in & out of the trucks at full speed.

And easing us addicted racing fans back into the swing of things after a long cold boring winter without racing...
