My turn for a pole as November seems to be Pole Season.
Does it bother you when V8 Supercar drivers answer a question "Yeah, no - look..." Cheers, Buck. |

It's funny because I have been giggling to myself about the whole "yeah, no" thing for years, but it's not only related to racing drivers.

Yeah I have to agree with Rocket on that one, its the line that Skaife has downpat!! But I like when drivers talk about things in a bit more detail that er well oh you know, and tell it like it is, which I think Marcos Ambrose does well. But yeah, it annoys me!

My Dad calls Craig Lowndes, Kid Fantastic, next time you hear him talk, count how many times he says Fantastic.

Yep I've noticed the fantastic thing Patto. A couple of years ago, both Lowndes and Skaife used to start every sentence with:
"Well, obviously ........." I didn't realize things were so obvious. Maybe they aren't anymore because I can't say I've heard it too much lately. CD. |

What is more annoying than any of these is Jason Bargwanna's high pitched voice

It's not only the four-wheel brigade that are like that. Anthony Gobert uses the phrase 'you know' as a comma...

I also noticed how they crack lame jokes, laugh at themselves and then get serious by saying, "No, but seriously..."
Listen. |

Hearing Lowndes constantly saying "really, for us..." and another one is Seton saying "naturally" really grate after a while. Skaife's favourite word in the '90's was "obviously" and actually the first driver I ever heard come out with the "Yeah, no, look..." was one Jim Richards, althought his version was "yes, no, things are etc etc." At least they sound better than a politician. Sorry Larry...

I think all the current V8 drivers a schitzophrenic. You here them talk about driving in a race and it is "We went wide on a corner" or "We missed a gear".
They must have had lessons from Brock on out of body experiences or split personalities |

Nono, it's a team sport, and they've been trained by the PR gurus and team bosses to say "Yes-no, we had a great race today, that's why we won". But along with that, it is also the team's fault if the driver stacks it, or breaks the pit lane speed limit...

LOL yeah,no...to be honest.
I remember when i lived in Sydney for a few years and Aussies would use the word "but" like this... Kiwi says "Bloody great day today huh?" Aussie replies "Sure is, as usual, gonna get real crappy tomorrow but." I'd wander around for the next few days wondering what else he was gonna say |
