Q2 Germany
A few notes from this morning’s practices 1 and 2 as observed on “Bernie.com”.
Monty and Ralf swapped P1, Monty got it in session 1 and Ralf in 2. They’re about 1.5 secs off the qualifying pace from yesterday. DC, Kiesa and then Mickey-the-Shoe stopped on the circuit in P2. In DC’s case he didn’t post a time. The two Jags (John Prescott?) seemed to be running different strategies, maybe looking at their options for the race? Anyway, are there any comments or thoughts before the main event today? |

It's gonna be a cracker of a qualifying session, my money's on JPM. I'm also hoping DC can prove the critics wrong and qualifying in the top 10

there was a bird standing on the track for some laps, rubens could hardly evade it and one lap later there were only feathers on the track

Ah, thanks.
Do you know why DC, Kiesa and MS stopped on track? |

Interesting. Not like MS to fall off but I guess that means he won't have problems in qualifying this afternoon.
Kiesa's times weren't as close to Jos this morning and DC was going well in P1. |

Poor bird! Why on earth did it move closer to the cars as they came screaming past, instead of trying to escape?
DC's car didn't look like it could be driven anymore today, I too think he will have to use the t-car. My money's on Ralf for pole. He's been doing brilliantly lately, loves the track, and was quickest again today in Free Practice. I think his comment after winning the other race was excellent: "This proves even a bad driver can win a race." I'm starting to warm to him. He has been getting a lot of stick, some of it quite unfairly, and he's a lot better than many (including me in the past) have given him credit for. *Decides to go and look in the mirror to see if I'm still the same person* |

Y'see take of that mantle of responsibility and you become human again.
And you can put people on "ignore". |

Well done Williams/BMW/Michelin and their boys for securing front row. It's a real tight fight between JPM and Ralf... both guys are evenly matched.
With a fast-starting Renault in third..the start's gonna be a cracker. Heck..the Ferrari's were a disappointment today. Obviously, the set up were pretty screwed up. MS's is hanging all over the place and it doesn't show well for the race. The biggest problem seems that Bridgestone lacks grip. It's actually lucky that Webber and Alonso din't jump ahead.. Anyway, i guess the trend in the recent few races have shown that Williams/BMW/Michelin is the BEST package out there. So i guess the boys in blue/white has to perform now that they have the car to do the job. We have been hearing "If only the car could..."long enough, now we'd see! Let's hope for a cracker of a race tml... i've taken one day off from service for it! |

I compaared the times with yesterday and apart from the obvious two only Fisi improved today. So it must be fule loads or am I missing something? And are the Jags running different strategies?

Looks asthough Rubens is running a shorter fuel load than Michael.
