Which circuit (British) does everyone think is the best in the following categories? (I'm talking about from the perspective of a spectator)
1. Ticket pricing 2. Spectator facilities 3. Quality of help to queries 4. Photo opportunities 5. Slickness of race day operation 6. Web site 7. Trackside parking 8. Viewing and spectator banks quality 9. Paddock access Unfortunatly my mind has gone blank, so any suggestions for other categories would be appreciated. |

1. Ticket pricing
Probably Silverstone (excluding the GP) or Donington 2. Spectator facilities Donington needs a mention if only for Redgate Lodge 3. Quality of help to queries I'll resist the temptation to turn this into a name and shame for who was helpful with the circuit guides and who wasn't 4. Photo opportunities My favourite has to be Oulton Park 5. Slickness of race day operation Definitely NOT Oulton Park!!!!!!!!!!!! 6. Web site Think they're all okay, but personally don't like the BHLG site 7. Trackside parking Oulton Park (provided you don't go too near the muddy area at the bottom on Kinckerbrook) or Donington 8. Viewing and spectator banks quality Oulton is always a favourite from Knickerbrook or Donington from the outside of the Old Hairpin 9. Paddock access Any where you don't have to pay |

Simple - Donington. That's it
Though they are reall *******s when it comes to giving us press passes We've had them for the Daytona and Le Mans 24hrs, Baja 2000, Indy 500, and many other BTCC, ALMS, and CART events, but try getting them out of Donington... |

1. Ticket pricing Donington for sure. 2. Spectator facilities Donington again. 3. Quality of help to queries Goodwood - actually took the trouble to telephone me when I posted a general query on a website. 4. Photo opportunities Brands Hatch 5. Slickness of race day operation Goodwood 6. Web site Silverstone 7. Trackside parking Mallory Park 8. Viewing and spectator banks quality Goodwood again. Very very few occasions when your view is restricted, and several places where you are within 10ft of the track. 9. Paddock access If you buy a pass, Goodwood's great. Otherwise Snetterton Donington or Oulton Park are all about equal. |

Facilities are very good at Goodwood, they really look after the spectator. And viewing is excellent because you're dead close to the action.. I might point out that the meeting is run by BARC, so therefore it can never be called a 'slick' operation in my book. Although the action seemed non stop on Sunday, there was only 9 races all day and very spread out. I'm off somewhere tomorrow where 11 races (including practice) are run in one day - mention no names yet.
Most of the web sites seem to be very good, even the BARC one nowadays!! Worst facilities, Cadwell - but just fantastic place to be.. has to provide some of the most amazing viewing in the country. But how they got 38,000 superbike fans into the place, I shall never know.. The message is clear, for your average club meeting at (dare I say it) Combe, you can expect 15,000+ people to turn up to watch. It's cheap (£12 top price this year), facilties for the public are constantly improving, you get loads of racing and can get very close to the action. I know many people here don't like Combe - but can someone tell me why?? When it's just soo popular with Joe Public.. |

Mallory Park gets my vote for being cheap, with excellent facilities, wonderful viewing, great paddock access and just about the best food I've had at any circuit.

Mallory, Knockhill & Thruxton have kids play areas. Very useful for parents!
