Totally agree with you. First time I watched the DTM all year and what a race to see! Was hoping Menu would do well until his drive thru - I sat infront of the TV thinking to myself if that happened in the BTCC, almost everyone would be in and out of the pits lol
I think the whole race reminded me of when the F1 boys raced there during the summer. Schumachers puncture was almost the same thing for the two championship contenders. Anyway, glad for Schneider, he drove well in a car that wasnt all that fast (in my view). Oh, and well done Alesi, great race by the F1 ex! |

Some of the lines the drivers took were strange!
Is it right that these run-off areas should be considered as part of the racing track? I thought it was a little bit of a letdown when Albers got the puncture, how close was Albers to hitting Schneider? |

yea, just picking up from esorniloc...what was going on out there with the cars going off line? Im sure thats against the rules in any sport. The FIA would had never let that happen in F1...so why in the DTM?

i don't know but it was even extremer in the qualifying were the cars went wide in corner 1 and carried tons of earth on the track while crossing the small green stripe, schneider damaged his car that way

I see they had cones out at that section today..
I personally think it's wrong - the tracks there and I've heard of heavy punishments elsewhere for even putting all 4 wheels just over the white line.. |

Great race though, the result was in doubt right up to the finish (If anyone was watching on Motors, Carlton Kirby was so excited he broke his microphone! )...and great to see Alesi win again...not at Donington this time! |
