Well it seems a simple enough quote (although are quotes from Sport Bild usually reliable ), lets see what develops.

No, if anything Williams blew it. They were in a good position to win both WDC & WCC. Head want's someone else to take the can or blame - that's why he gets paid so much, so take it like a man Mr Head earn your keep and don't let it happen again.

Yep, it sounds as if Head wants to find a scapegoat. It is undoubtedly true that Ferrari influenced their own drivers, but to be honest all teams do the same thing.

we all know it is Ferraris fault that Jordan aren't winning races at the moment. I am not the biggest fan of Ferrari but they were better than any other team again this year. Everyone else just needs to up their game that little bit more for next year.

what I am saying is it is all to easy to blame someone else instead of just upping your game and doing better. Sounds like sour grapes on Patricks part and that is a shame

In the full interview, he points out:
"At Silverstone, at 300 km/hr, Schumacher threw Alonso onto the grass" and Schumi was forgiven by Whiting even though, he passed the Toyota of Olivier Panis under yellow flags." I used to respect Head, but it sounds to me like he refuses to accept he dropped the ball this year, even though the championship was William's to lose. |

Yeah I think you are, you were actually talking about Jordan.
Is Head referring to the tyre situation or Indy? Or both? |

Quote:
Yeah, but his car broke at Japan while leading. Would have been champion otherwise. I guess that makes it even (add the mechanical failure at A1 ring too) If Montoya and Raikkonen had had the same reliability as Michael, Michael would have been third in the championship insted of first. |

Yoong M: Don't forget that Michael had a sure second place in the bag, had he not gotten a puncture. Darn, what race was that again?

Although Williams claimed that the Michelin tire ruling did not affect them that much, I believe otherwise. If they were forced into a different construction and profile, it would certainly affect the aero on the car. Perhaps it took them until Suzuka to recover.
On the other hand, MS's performance dropped after Monaco when his preference for running different compounds front and rear was put to a halt, apparently. Mechanical reliability and mistakes probably had a lot more to do with the end result this year. |

Through some of these events with saw that Head doesn't have exclusive rights on moaning this year (not htat I particularly think he is)...
