crash should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Prost have been pretty damn slow this year - that is for certain. I mean look what has happened to them this year:

*Countless engine failures.
*Loss of Peugout Engines.
*Loss of Gualoises.
*Mechanics went on strike at Magny Cours.
*Talented Heidfeld and Alesi fail to get a single point.

But how can Alain Prost fix the situation. Or is Alain never going to be a decent team owner?

With Ferrari engines, Pedro Diniz and possible Canon sponsership, perhaps Prost can turn the tables in 2001?

Where have you heard about the Canon sponsorship. According to Autorace.com Gene has signed for the team (I know it doesn't mean it's true) and so Telefonica would then play some role in sponsorship. I believe that Prost has recently brought Joan Vilaldeprat(?) on board to take over some of the day to day management of the team. If John Barnard takes on a greater role in designing the car they may have a chance of doing something decent next year.

Regarding Canon sponsering Prost, I read this in the aussie equivalent of Autorpsort, Motorsport News. While nothing is confirmed, its seems reasonably likely.

Also, forgot to metion Telefonica sponsership!

Eventhough prost have had an awfull season, they probably will have better one next year, because they got rid of the low efficience peugeot engine, and with the new sponsors at least they´ll score a single point.

Apparently Alain and his pilots need to put away the handbags ... both Trulli and Panis have made hissy remarks about his methods of handling pilots ...

Prost has always had a beaut of a car. Now perhaps it will have an engine (and perhaps the Ferrari gearbox, I hear) that will allow it to run with the big boys - and Alesi will put it on the front row if it is capable of going there. Let us pray it is Gene and not Diniz the Desperado in the second car... although I like Diniz, I do not think he and Alesi will make a very stable team.

Change the management team.
Prost is being runned like a cornershop.

Question: Prost-Porsche or Prost Mitsubishi. Which one sounds better?

White Van Man should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Autosport reports that Prost is in talks with Telefonica, Stella Artois and Canon. Telefonica looks less likely as it means Yahoo! will pull out...

Apparently Abilio Diniz, father of Depro, is weighing up the opportunity to buy into the team... though Pedro it is thought that Pedro might not get a drive for the team even if this happens as he is looking to move into the area of team management...

It's official now. Canon sponsorship goes to McLaren.
