Scott Atherton Interview

Good to hear the new management at the ACO are working much closer with the ALMS management.

Hopefully the ALMS will be offering their expertise in relation to the promotion/marketing of the LMES.

Thanks, JAG....

This is a Great Read.....

It gives excellent perspective concerning what we can expect as fans from the Series in the future, and it also addresses concerns and issues expressed amongst the many followers of this Forum in a pretty straight-forward way....

Mr Atherton and Mr. Panoz are on the right track....and I like how he makes their positions on many issues known without saying too much before they get the international media together in Atlanta in a couple of weeks...that's when we'll see the specifics...

I can hardly wait!!!!!!!

and the hint that there will possibly be a post-Sebring event in the Spring also bodes well for us as fans...

The Q about doing an event with Champ Car or the IRL also is quite interesting....think about the possibilities:

ALMS running at Long Beach in Mid-April

ALMS at Montreal or a possible race at Calgary with Champ Car with Molson as the promoter/sponsor (this one has been discussed on the Champ Car Forum)

ALMS at Watkins Glen with the IRL????

He DOES say that they are racing on the great permanent road courses in the USA with the exception of the Glen...

I know...I know...

I'm REALLY stretching what Mr. Atherton said here....

But it is fun to speculate, isn't it???

A bit of conjecture?

Not likely as long as International Speedway Corp. owns `the Glenn'.
