The Fat Clerk & the Porsche
Well done to The Fat Clerk for winning a Porsche 911 on 5th Gear. I hear from Dave he has yet to recieve it. Will we be seeing this as a course car in the coming season ???
I`m sure there must be a few jokes regarding Shoe horns and the like. |

I'm just waiting to see who gets down the stairs first at the 750 meets during Red Flags, Viv or Dave. Woe betide anyone coming UP the stairs, they'll never know what hit them!

Does that mean if we smile nicely at him, he might bring it to the Cadwell track day for some of us to try out!

I wonder if a Porsche 911 is bigger than a 2CV.

Strewth, that's going to be better than the thing that he followed the Birkett with. Might even make up a few places.

Blimey! Do they know he'll need a convertible? Mind you, if they send an ordinary one the Rescue teams will soon have the roof off for him!

The plan @ present, is to sell the 911 (sensible offers please) & then buy something that can be raced, sprinted & occasionally driven on the road. Something along the lines of a 75)MC Locost or Kit Car.

I think I'm going to keep it until at least the end of this season, I tend to enter it in the Porsche Club Festival @ Brands Hatch on August Bank Holiday Monday & either the Snetterton or Oulton Marshals track day, definately not Cadwell which has always been an unlucky circuit for me.
I'm seriously looking forward to blasting round the Rockingham Oval, when I'm Clerking the Shell Eco Marathon, I took the Mondeo round last year & that was showing 120, so I reckon nearer 150 in the 911. Also plan to go with Trev Skinns on Bruntingthorpes 2 and a half mile main runway, with him on his Aprillia, 2 miles flat out and half a mile to stop! |

I've now lost 2 and a half stones, so basicaly I'm a quarter of the way there.
Don't laugh, & don't think I wont. I saw Pam Dearn & Amanda Treadwell last weekend @ the BRDCMC Dinner/Dance talk about inspiration! I wont ever be as pretty, but they both look so well after their weight loss. |
