What is your favourite GT1 Car? (Current day GT1 Regulations)
Personally for me it is now the Maserati MC12. It used to be the Saleen S7R, but for me the MC12 is even better looking, and hopefully one day all the controversy surrounding the car will dissapear.

went with the DBR-9... the sound of the AM V12 at Sebring was just intoxicating and the car is just magnificent to see in person

That's a tough vote. I really appreciate both of the Prodrive cars, the DBR9 and 550M. However, my vote went to the Saleen S7R. This car still looks the part and has a great rumble to it. And Chris, in my opinion, it looks far better than the Maserati MC12. The Lambo also looks stunning as well and edges out the MC12 in appearance. Like I said, tough to choose!

DBR9 for me. It just looks so right, real presence. Can't wait for Silverstone!

I voted for the Aston. I wanted to vote for the Maserati, but I couldnt bring myself to do it due to all the political wrangling surrounding the car. It is such a shame as it is a stunning looking car.

It would have to be the Lister Storm :-) (why isnt it on the list) but the Aston Martin's are looking very tasty, cant wait to see them at Silverstone.

MURCIELAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
how can you not love THAT wing, and THAT shape? and the noise? it may be slow, but its spectacular and to me that is what GT racing is all about. and the aston looks s**t in green. only good in black, and it sounds boring now. If it isn't murcielago, any corvette will do for me |

No doubt, Saleen S7R!
I saw it for the first time in 2004, on TV, while it was racing the FIA GT Champ. Not only it looks very nice and aggressive, but I think it's even better than the MC12 in performances! If u remember, during the first season of the FIA GT 2006, in Silverstone, it couldn't win just because it lost about 10 seconds hitting a piece of rubber, which made the driver go on the gravel. But the saleen was the fastest car on the track, even more than the 2 mc12 (in fact it also set the fastest lap in the race). And in that race no car had to carry the ballast. Great car... |

Well, it's a fantastic list of cars, isn't?! I've gone for the DBR9, partly because I do think it looks superb and partly because I'm so pleased to see Aston Martin in racing again. I wouldn't say no to any of the others though, especially the 550.

Difficult choice
I don't know about the Maserati, if it wasn't for that tiny rear wing it would be joined first with the Saleen. But now I just don't like it as much. Last edited by Saleen; 15 Apr 2005 at 14:10. |

I voted for the C5-R. I haven't seen and heard the Aston yet.
After : Saleen, F550, and the Porsche GT2 ADAC. |

C5-R does it for me. Sounds great, and has got typical American brute in its appearance.
Its not as striking perhaps as the Aston, or as sleek as the 550/575, but I like it. |

The Spyker is superb. Too bad it's not faster. I voted for the C5-R.

I was wondering: why would anybody prefer the 550 over the 575 or vice versa? if you ignore performance, both cars are basically identical. (don't get me wrong, they're both great cars, that's one sexy ass they have )
