greenamex2 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Pembrey - 29-30/7/2006

Thanks from all the drivers to all the marshalls for braving the elements at the weekend to look after us.

You're welcome

(Flag Marshal (unofficial), Post 6 Saturday, Post 7 Sunday, and the Hymer motorhome which was parked near you in the paddock)

Pembrey 29/30-7-06

Thanks from Marshals.Hope the liquid sunshine did not spoil you weekend. Incidentaly its the second compliment for the Orange force,There was a message sent to post 8 by one driver to thank them as their yellow flag prevented a simple incident becoming more serious. Who said drivers dont see flag signals

Just want to second the thanks from Denis.

I really enjoyed playing in the rain in Wales - but I realise that without the boys and girls in orange getting wet on our behalf, it wouldn't be possible.

Thanks again

Just to let you all know, I enjoyed getting soaked through to the skin in the pitlane on both days of the meet. I enjoyed even more winding up our new young male marshal who seriously thought he could cope with me... Just waiting until the next one at pembrey so I can really make him squirm..

Think the mod prod crew had it easy (a roof over their heads ). From the number of racesuits hung up in paddock single seat drivers got just as wet as marshalls( at least we could put waterproofs on)

We also got a message of thanks on post 7 for some reason from the WRDA guys. Were you on 8 Broom pusher per chance?

I couldn't. But I could see the yellow flag on 8, and had a vauge idea what had happened. The phone call was a bit of a surprise!

If you( broom pusher) and the stig are on about the incident with the WRDA's , the car that smacked the pit wall opposite post eight, it wasn't his fault - the back end of the car just kicked out and drove him into the wall. I did notice that post eight didn't even move before I did the big run from pitlane up to him. You lazy people could of come over a bit a bit quicker!!!!

Always thought first principle of marshalling was personal saftey. With one novice on post( on a blind corner) would you have sent them across track?
nobody applied any blame for incident

Guys, please don't let this become a personal thing. Remember the rules, attack the post and not the poster!

We weren't talking about that one, the one in the previous WRDA encounter with the two protons going off!

All I saw of the second was a roof going into the wall on the inside. I don't think it would have been a good idea for 8 to have crossed the track to it.

Ok fair enough but remember I am the only INCIDENT marshal in PITLANE I have a bunch of specialists and novices with me so please acknowledge that ....as a female marshal it would nice to have some real marshals to come and help me in future... (sorry to all specialists, I am a specialist as well Used to be I/C of startline but we are not really meant to deal with incidents trackside). xxxxx

problem is is that we need more marshals. If there's enough, prehaps we could Have some incident guys at the entry to the pit lane- but only if there's enough to go around!

Post 3 already do something similar at the crossing.

Why is it that most meetings we run with the bare minimum of crews on the banks, we are friendly, we do not bite, we make every one welcome, (some more than others), so if you have a free day or two, as the saying goes "COME ON DOWN" you will be pleasantly surprised.

It's a shame some of you seem to be snapping at each other, it puts a bit of a dampener (excuse the pun) on what was a good weekend. Thanks anyway for all your efforts, myself and Ian went home happy and duly disposed of the champers with the chicken and chips. Amazing how quick you become after a couple of glasses of that.
