Lydden challenge Sept.9th
The annual Lydden Hill festival of motorsport takes place on Saturday Sept 9th. Amongst the events we have the rallycross stock hatch vs. Group A hot rods challenge. Last year, for the first time, the rallycross team won. Hopefully they will come and defend the title. If any drivers need an entry form please send me a PM or contact RDC promotions or Keith Scott at rallyx pics. This year there are more sponsors involved and Meridian TV will be previewing the event. There will also be truck racing during the day.

Looks like there was a bit more interest shown in the challenge, by the drivers present at Lydden on Monday. Hopefully they all survived the day Ok and will be entering soon. At just £40 it is a real bargain, plus there is added support from Invicta FM this year. With the likes of Chris Cake and Captain Kirk they might even retain the crown which was won last year.

Although Chris Cake could not use the car he had hoped to, he did a sterling job of mustering the rallycross team. The boys all drove well, and the team were lucky to enrol a couple of circuit racers (although for one it was his first ever race). Despite this the team won the challenge, although it was very close. If Lee Hall had finished the last race for the hot rod team, then the result would have gone the other way. Well done to everyone, and hope you enjoyed the extra prizes.
