June 12,13,14th looks like good dates to be going to watch F1 cars in the flesh.
I went at the beginning of the month but wasn't too impressed by the viewing restrictions, will it be any different on the above dates with all the teams being present. |

Apparently last year for the big test they did open more of the track, all the way up past the grid - they also did this once in July when I was there. I'm going to all three days, and also this Tuesday.

Hi Billy!
I have known Silverstone to open more of the circuit on previous occassions - but mainly for when they are expecting bigger crowds. Last year they opened the standing areas opposite the lower end of the pits (on the outside) and towards the first corner Copse Corner. I have also known them to open the grandstand opposite the pits. But who knows what silverstone will do!

But what about Maggots through to Stowe this is my favourite part of the track ? I've booked one day off for the week of the big test so I'll be keeping a close eye on the weather to pick the best day to go. MF you have far too much free time

They never open the Maggots area - it's too far away for the security guys to check up on.

Billy, keep an eye on the Trackside Forum here at Ten-Tenths prior to the Silverstone F1 test sessions. There you'll usually find a thread regarding meeting arrangements.
Personally, I'm hoping to attend as many of the June all-team test days as I can! |
