I think I might be posting on the wrong forum - but tough!

9/3/07 = a BIG birthday for Bill Turnbull (I deliberately am not mentioning age).

SO (until I get told otherwise by the moderators) - feel free to post your "congratulations" etc...."

We will provide 2 cakes at Mallory on Sunday 11/3 - one at lunch and the other at the end - not sure they will suffice for 180 marshals so get there first

Shelagh - I am required according to the blue book to ensure that fire cover is provided for candles etc and will have to inform the Fire Truck driver how many candles he may have to deal with. Please post answer here asap.

You are OK. We are coming in my car so the boot is not big enough to fit both our marshalling equipment AND the requisite number of candles. And, anyway, Bill is a fire marshal "supreme" - he can put out fires just by looking at them!

If I remember, I will bring ONE candle which, if you twist it, plays "Happy Birthday" - bought it as a joke many years ago.

And - as you are all obviously desperate to find out - it is "whisper" 65.

Thank you to everyone who "ATE CAKE" yesterday - hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed providing it. It all added to the celebrations for Bill's birthday and thank you all for sharing it with us.

Yesterday was third day of the birthday celebrations, so back to normal (work in my case!) today.

Thanks to all again for making it memorable and, moderators, I think I now declare this thread closed!
