The team has confirmed its second driver.

If they get an entry..........
Not bad though, confirming the driver line-up a year in advance......! |

What's the chance of this new team gaining an entry or on the reserved list for this year's race? Or is all this for 2006?

For 2006 - well, let's see what they do when they hit the LMES, and Sebring next year. There isn't exactly a lack of Porsche GT2 entrants, so only the best get it, well, the best plus the French. |

I'd say they'll have to be pretty impressive to get an entry for next year.

So true, good luck to them. I doubt the fact that being a China based team alone will be "good" or " special" enough for the ACO boys to consider the entry really.

From a competitive standpoint, they could do worse than their affiliation with GruppeM. If they're aiming for next year by competing this year, they'll have a shout.

Does anyone have more info? Seems strange to have a Chinese based team racing in Le Mans. The costs involved with shipping, etc must be huge.
Does anyone know more about the drivers? Never heard of Charles Kwan. If he's so good why isn't he driving?? |

Matthew Marsh and Charles Kwan finished 4th in N-GT at FIA GT Zhuhai last year, they shared a Ferrari 360 GTC after being delayed twice in the pits by the starter motor. I was there and I think they should have been third... Charles was third in his final race, the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia race in Macau, he also set the fastest lap of the race. Sadly, Charles retired at the end of last year and therefore will not race for the Hong Kong Le Mans team... |
