After Derrike Cope withdrawing early and Dennis Setzer destroying the #92 Dodge in practice after his brakes failed, the entry list is now down to 43 cars.
As for the race I think we're looking good to have a sixth straight different winner, seeing how dominant Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson have been at Martinsville lately. |

There are concerns about the tires, much like at Bristol.
Normally the teams can run around 100 laps on one set of tires, but in practice the tires started going away after only 40 laps. Goodyear did bring a softer tire for this race, but it seems they may have gone a bit too far. |

One of the hardest crashes I've ever seen at Martinsville, glad to see they're ok.
Edit - One of the hardest Sprint Cup crashes, I should say. There's been some modified wrecks there that's been absolutely vicious (and, unfortunately, deadly). |

So, yeah, my heart just started beating a bit more just now - c'mon Junior!!!
Harvick looks scary though, argh. Edit - Goddamnit. Oh well, second ain't half-bad considering how Junior's been running the past couple of years, nice to see him actually racing at the front. Congratulations to Harvick, scoring his second straight win and snapping the streak of different winners. Last edited by rustyfan; 3 Apr 2011 at 21:17. |

Man right at the end I was pulling so hard for JR but...that Harvick fella is just such a beast! So good at the end of races. Another great race, smile on my face. Great top 5, like to see all those drivers up there.
Too bad JG couldnt get the win, got killed by that caution, but that's racing. More important are the top 5's for him and JR. Can't wait for Texas! Good to see a flaw out of the 48 though, this season is building into one to really watch!!! EDIT: Mark in 10th WOOHOO! Great top 10 all in all as well! |

Harvick has really earned the nickname "the Closer" as of late, I think he'll be absolutely lethal when it comes to the Championship this year.

Good short track racing and a great finish. Just wish the 88 had some car left at the end, but "The Closer" has been awfully tough with less the 50 to go.
Bonehead move of the day goes to Brad K. Paul Menard was having a great, clean year until the idiot propelled Blue Deuce came and found his rear bumper. There's short track racing and then there is stupidity. |
