Nordic should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Auctions

TCA

There is an auction coming up in Feb of models, and other motorsport Automobilia at brooklands.

The list of lots looks pretty good. I think I know what Mrs Nordic is getting for her birthday!

H&H's automobilia sale at the International Historic Motorsport Show, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on February 25th, will feature a traffic jam in miniature, as Europe's largest specialist historic car auction house puts almost 4,000 model cars under the hammer.

The models - from the private Portuguese Queiroz collection - include built and unbuilt die-cast, plastic and metal model kits, 90% of which are 'mint and boxed'. The collection, which dates from the 1950s onwards, includes a fabulous variety of models from over 150 manufacturers, including: Dinky, Corgi, Airfix, Solido, Lesney, Tootsietoys, Schuco, Revell, Politoys, Polistil, Bburago, Mercury and Gama. All of the models are to be sold without a reserve.

Lot 32 I would bid for
Though considering thats 70 or so winners, 400-600 ain't that much so they could actually be pretty cheap models...

Actually, it's only the pre-war winners, so that is 16 models (1923-1939 less the non-race of 1936). The value very much depends on the kits used and the skill of the builder. The picture on that site isn't really big enough to tell.

Ah, missed that, sorry

They look OK, there seems to be some detail in them, but as you say you can't tell exactly how much.

I'm not sure they'll get 400 for it though, not least because there isn't a big enough photo of each individual model to see if they're worth spending that money on.

What I've always wanted is a Le Mans "sign"...... You know some kind of direction sign from around the track during the race. Obviously I've never nicked one but I remember seeing one hanging in a guys garage about 6-7 years ago. I always regretted not making him an offer for it........ Would have looked good on my study wall......

What like the 'diversion ahead' sign at the top of the hill under the Dunlop Bridge?
