Monza times down
Hi!
I just compared pole times from 2004 and 2005 seasons a learned from there that on almost all the tracks on which they run were gt 2005 cars faster than 2004 fia gt cars except one Monza where time difference was big. Here are the pole times: 2004 2005 2007 test Monza 1:43,5 1:45,7 1:45,6 Brno 1:56,7 1:56,3 Spa 2:15,0 2:14,8 Oschersleben 1:23,5 1:23,0 You can see that on all compared tracks were 2005 cars faster except one Monza. If you look at others poles they are close and there is difference max 0,5 sec. Also this years testing times were slower than in 2004.Is there any reason for that? Are there any rule changes which made todays cars slower on this track? |

Probably weather. Admittedly, it's always cool and frequently rains to green up the track at February or March Monza tests, but the weather is almost always a factor when comparing testing times in winter from more temperate climes.
