[V8SC09R17] Lawrence & Hanson 500, Phillip Island Victoria
The first of the enduros, new pairings abound, old pairings come back...
A mish mash of contenders and pretenders, schemers and dreamers at the original home of the Australian Endurance Event Who is the logical combo to beat? Hard to go past #888 with Mr Lowndes/Mr Whincup... engine maladies must be of some concern, as well as an inability to dial into their own test track HRT had engine issues also... in their cars and customer units... We also get to see the wildcards getting wild and woolly on the Island... hope those recovery trucks are ready, willing & able! $5 on #25 to end up in the top 3... |

 the enduro's best time of year love'em.hard to go past Whincup/Lowndes, Tander/Davison & Johnson/Courtney filling the podium on pace and form but as we know in enduro's there is always a spanner thrown into the works. |

Holdsworth/Caruso for a podium. After the 'Big 3' of Lowndes/Whincup, Tander/W.Davison and Courtney/Johnson, the #33 GRM Commodore has to be the next best bet.

Sprint Gas is far to short given their form this year. Jim Beam and GRM are not to bad but the BOC car is a very good bet for a tenner it went very well last year until AJ flipped it and Cam and Jase are good enduro driver's.

It looks like it. They should have two seperate qualifying sessions for driver A and B, then average out the time of both drivers to determine grid positions. Better than risking your car for a worthless sprint race the day before one of the most important races of the year. I also think it takes away from the tradition of the 500km races.

I suppose the good thing about the Saturday run is we get to see how some of the non regulars shape up and it gives them some extra race miles in the cars. Anyway I always look forward to the enduros. I hope Steve Owen goes well and can impress enough people to secure a main game drive.

you have to love that press article of govers "believes he and Greg Murphy will be top-10 contenders" they would want to be, when yuo consider most of the teams have put there best two drivers together, it means that there is really only 15 main game cars competiting |
