pete60 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
No, there were a few four door A9Xs. Brock ran in one in at least one race for HDT at the start of 1978 and Bob Morris ran a very attractive 4 door for most of 1977 until the hatch was built. Capt Janson had one too I think.

A couple of L34s were converted to A9x specs as well, the Citizen Watches car of Gary Cooke (ex Team Brock) comes to mind.

There were a few A9X four-doors. The two-doors were called SS, the four-doors, SLR. A9X if memory serves, refered to a mechanical options package which could then be applied to SS or SLRs. Charlie O'Brien's A9X was a four-door. Hodgson, HDT, Ralph Radburn, Alan Browne, Joe Moore, Gary Cooke and Jack Brabham all had four-door A9Xs.

I'm pretty sure that there were actually more A9X sedans built (road cars) than hatch backs.

Only 405 A9X Toranas were produced for sale to the public and these consisted of 305 four-door sedans and 100 two-door hatches. There were an additional 52 GMP&A (General Motors Parts and Accessories) body shells specifically produced for competition made up of 11 sedans and 41 hatches. These came purely as a body shell with no engine and no gearbox, there wasn’t even a hole cut in the floor for the gearshift. Modifications were required to the floorpan to mount the T10 gearbox and a special "blister" patch was made available to race teams for this purpose

Paul does own both the Harvey and Negus cars

Waynes car was bulit by Harry for Wayne. It is a different build spec to that of the proper race team cars but wayne was a HDT driver here in perth. So car is a HDT car just a little different.

Cavvy will know more i feel

First the De Tomaso reappears and now the John Pollard 935 has turned up in the UK. Wild wild looking car even after all these years.

The current owner is looking for any racing history on the car.

Built by John Shepperd at huge expense.

John Pollard is still in WA (Mandura?)

john is now running Scubys over here.

I think he has a dealership ( I could be wrong )

He sadly never raced the porsche over here. I did get to see it once dressed up in Rohan Skea colors. ( Now that is a story worth its own thread! )

How many Ron Hodgson A9X's were there? Just the two hatches? (plus the 4-door from '77?)

Don't tease, start the thread

The Pollard Porsche was used as one of the cars to push the Thundersports concept wasn't it? As the car was not eligible for Sports Sedans

Now why would I start a thread on a lawyer that is not practising anymore?

Accuracy would be paramount given Mr Skeas distinguished legal background.

I'd reckon he would have been paroled by now ... who knows he may be among us !

Interesting positioning of the ad for this vehicle in this weeks' eMN. It appears alongside the article spruiking how the Triple F boys will be running the car, as well as the ex Marshall BF, in the Fujitsu series. Which one is the correct version? Or is it both...it will be run until sold.

Can anyone shed some light on the location of the ex FPR chassis? FPR5 (502) - become Britek Irwin Racing Car 26 for Marshal 2008. Also does anyone know who owns the 888 chassis 0011 used last year as Car 333 for PCR? I know Fiore bought the 888 chassis 0017 and there was talk of DJR buying the equipment?

Please help if you can.

888 chassis #0011 still belongs to Mr Matthias, and is available for sale.

It was whispered around the place that perhaps if Mr Fiore could unload the PMM VE, that he may secure this BF so the 3 brothers can run FFF Falcons, but nothing seems to have come of that.

Thanks GTR for the quick reply.
Any word on FPR5 (502) that has seemed to have disappeared into thin air.
