A huge thankyou to Andy for the trip he put together for everyone. It was very interesting and informative. It was really good to be able to get up close to the aircraft and hear so much about what goes on at Shawbury.
I'm looking forward to seeing the photos that were taken by various people as we went round the various buildings.

A quick Google Maps look suggests it might make an awfully nice racetrack round that perimeter road.

I can personally vouch for that, but don't tell everyone!

It was a real pleasure to see so many visitors, and I really enjoyed showing you all round the airbase.

I'll let you know when I get the official photo!

Now that sounds like fun!! It would be a great venue for a single venue stage rally as well!

RAF Shawbury visit

Michelle, Adam and I just wanted to thank you very much Andy for organising such a great visit round the airbase. You made it both fun and really interesting and I got to have my very first sit in a helicopter - it's the only way to travel now! I see what you mean about the Agusta 109!

Thanks again for a great afternoon.
