Sparco Hocotex Race Suits - any users ?
My trusty old race suit needs replacing for next year.
I have always gone for 3 layer Nomex previously but see that Sparco now manufacture 1 layer suits out of Hocotex which is claimed to offer lots of advantages over both 2 layer and 3 layer Nomex. Increased fire protection is obviously welcome and the extra breathability of the fabric would help keep someone as unfit as me cooler during races no doubt ! They are predictably more expensive but putting cost aside for just a moment. I was wondering if anyone here has got / used a Hocotex suit ? Do you find them more comfortable that 2 and 3 layer suits ? How robust / durable do you judge them to be ? ie is the much thinner fabric more susceptible to wear and damage ? Thanks in advance for any opinions based upon experience. |

I have no idea about the suits but welcome to Tenths on your first post, they say the first seven years are the hardest.
