[Official] Italian Grand Prix - Predictions Contest 2022 - Round 16 of 22 - Results

Congratulations to Beau2 and BTCC frog on achieving a first in the predictions contest - a joint win. Having finished on equal scores, there was no countback win, as they both predicted 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and didn't predict the 4th place finisher. The way the rules are written, they tie for the win therefore, as there is nothing about the closest prediction for 4th place being taken into account in this countback (I think a change is in order for next season ). Until then, enjoy what is the first and will probably be the only shared win in Predictions Contest history!

I've put Beau2's name first below, purely because he predicted before BTCC frog, but they're both winners. They both move up to 3 wins this season.


What happened at Monza

No championship positions have changed.

6 people got the fastest top 3 in qualifying correct.

smellysocks and chunterer both got points for de Vries, as I accepted a request for de Vries to score points for any Albon predictions. That will apply for the remainder of the season with driver substitutions, but I will write this into the rules for next season to not permit it.

wolfhound was the only person to predict Pérez's fastest lap.

Everyone put Red Bull for fastest pit stop, while no-one guessed de Vries as Driver of the Day and Driver of the Grand Prix, nor Williams as Team of the Grand Prix or the Rate the Grand Prix scores of 2 and 3.

This time round, the mean was higher than the mode.

Yes, to not permit it. If a driver has been replaced, only a prediction for the replacement will be able to score.
