Having raced in both, ZIP (for budding pros) is good value and they do look after you. With the testing package you will get loads of miles too.
I reckon, if you can do anything yourself, you'll have more fun in FF1600 though.
My experience of the Zip drivers is that they are all nice enough young lads, some being very arrogant though, who - if they can't get round you - will try to just drive over the top of you which ****ed me off!

It depends on what sort of formula ford you want. Regional FF1600 can be less than ZIP, National FF1800 will be alot more than ZIP.
What you get with ZIP is an arrive and drive package, SKY coverage and a reasonable amount of publicity. I believe they also have a degree of coaching and fixed amounts of testing. They have designed it as a level playing field, Last year saw some close races.
With regional FF1600 you will get to race alongside a variety of machines/ ages/ talent. Most if not all FF1600 races are normally deemed as "the race of the day". You can run your own FF1600 or get asistance from a number of honest quality guys. I know that in The Star of Midlands we have vacancies at two or three teams for either arrive and drive or owner driver assistance.

The choice is yours, always try before you buy!

Are you going to the race car show, call in at the BRSCC stand and get more information.

Why don;t yu have a look at FF1800 - tyre bill is the same as FF1600 - engines last about 3x as long, cars a a fair bit quicker (1.09s at Snett vs 1.15s for FF1600), modern safe cars that are good value to buy or rent. Again several good guys runs cars in the "clubmans" series - and a lot of young guys use it as a low-key training ground for National racing. Or have a look at BARC FRenault - I think a very similar set up in terms of costs and teams/drivers in it.

If there's any left, yes. Replaces Northern FF and Southern FF.
