Sutil takes adria pole for Kolles!

http://www.crash.net/uk/en/news_view...d=11&nid=91641

A definite surprise to see Sutil on pole, with Kolles being the weakest of the merc teams. Another good performance from Jamie Green as well, better from Hamilton, but still disappointing from him. Apologies mods if i've copied too much text, please edit if you have to.

I think it's a bit unfair to describe Hamilton, sixth on the grid and 0.3 off pole as "disappointing"

Is it me, or is Jamie Green the rare underhyped driver? The way he's going, they should be talking about him as an 05 Williams driver

Well I would still describe 6th as disappointing if the Kolles car can take pole, when it's clearly the weakest of the merc teams, whereas Hamilton is a favoured driver of mercedes with much more backing. I think it's clear so far that Jamie Green is, as russfeld says the underhyped driver, whereas to me Lewis Hamilton is overhyped, or at least his performances this year have fell far short of expectations. I am not meaning to start a Hamilton bashing thread, I just think he reall has underachieved this year considering the team and backing he has had, although admittedly he did have a mechanical DNF today.

Hamilton's in his first season of F3.

Also, you appear to have overlooked the fact qualifying was affected by the weather

I know he's in his first season of F3, but I would still say he has disappointed me, and I would doubt I am the only one. As a comparison, prior to Adria, he had 3 points, Tom Kimber-Smith had two. Tom is in in his first year out of Formula Ford, and in a Kolles car, far inferior to a Manor car. Lewis had two years in FRenault, which I regard as a step above FFord, and has raced in Macau and Korea last year. I am only taking an objective view, I wish Lewis well as a British driver, but I just would have expected more from him by now judging from his past record. I don't mean this anything personally, it is just a comment, in the same way as many people have said that this year's McLaren GP car has been a disappointment.

BEAKIE should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Qualifying was affected by the weather, but Jamie Green still managed to finish at the sharp end when most of his title rivals finished well down the grid. Then he went on to win the race and he is on pole for tomorrows race.He is showing a lot of maturity for someone who is only in their third season of car racing and is doing so without any fuss or hype.

Thanks Beakie. Thats all I was trying to say, Green has certainly performed well, and I would certainly like to see him win the title and get to Formula 1 soon, he seems to be the best British driver coming through the ranks at the moment.
