Single/Double Roll Bar Question
Back in the SRP/LMP days we saw a few cars like the R&S MKIIIC and the Dallara have both single and double roll hoops. How were they able to take one off and put the other on and have it strong enough to take a potenial accident?
It would seem like one would sacrifice structal rigidity by being able to take them off and on like that. Perhaps just use a single and add tubes might have been safer, if my theory is correct. How did they manage the changes and still have them strong enough? |
