Slower drivers have still bought their way in they are just in level one cars, such as the 2nd Perkins Castrol car buried in the fence at Sandown for example!
So why not let say 6 to 10 HPDC cars into the 1000, to make a
less pathetic sized grid of up to around 40 cars.
- For example the Smiths Truck HPDC entry was faster than a number of level one's last year in the 1000. So to say HPDC entries are a "roadblock" simply isn't true, and conversely I would be very suprised if the 2nd L1 Britek car is still on the lead lap after the first stint!
- Some of the slower drivers have simply moved from otherwise running in HPDC cars to arranging level one drives for themselves, before prompting causing a safety car anyway (!) even though HPDC's aren't allowed. So you may as well let HPDC's entries in, and don't make it an exclusive club for the drivers who have the contacts to make their way in.
The only other problem is the AVESCO franchise price-inflating money agenda.
