South Korea is a county that has been looking to get into F1 for some years now but they have no good circuits-Changwon is just about the best that they can offer. Therefore I have created Seoul International Speedway!
Located about 20 miles outside the city there is easy access for spectators & competitors alike. I have aimed to include Herman Tilke run-offs (huge
) & architecture to attract F1 to the track whilst keeping the track good & challenging with a good mix of fast & slow corners & numerous overtaking offertunities. The 2 main highlights are T1-T2, a fast sweeper uphill followed by a slow chicane, & T7-T8 (the esses where the short circuit rejoins the main track). T16 (the left hander after the hairpin) is banked to allow a better run onto the straight to allow more overtaking, allowing side by side running through the corner from overtaking attempts at the hairpin alloing for the race down to the final corner. The paddock is huge & there is Bahrain-esque tower on a small island inside the final corner. There is a Shanghai style main grandstand & pit complex. There is also a secondary paddock where business buildings are located, the highlight of which is the convention center with its geometric layout. There are also curved VIP suites to the left of the pits. This overall package should attract the GP to Korea on a circuit not designed by Tilke! Hope you like it!
