Next years S2000 switch.

I see in Autosport Steve Neal, of Team Dynamics, and Dick Bennetts of WSR are both appealing for BTCC cars to be allowed to be competitive next year.

Now this concerns me on a couple of points. Both of these teams have known about the move next year for a long time, (and didn't they have to agree to it?), and secondly, I hope the decision for the championship to be run to S2000 must remain in my eyes, because simply allowing them to continue with BTCC cars will slow down the transition process of a full S2000 grid.

Vauxhall are totally against the idea as they have made commitments already to running a S2000 spec car next year. Seat's participation is also built on the fact of the switch next year.
